Georgia is an associate in our Intellectual Property group and has experience in litigation and arbitration and commercial law. She has experience particularly in collections, insurance, pension, trusts, estates and commercial arbitration in the litigation area and service agreements, mergers and acquisitions and public sector tenders in the commercial area. Georgia obtained her BA Law Degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2015. In 2017 Georgia obtained her LLB from the University of Stellenbosch. She completed her last semester at the University of Bern, Switzerland and completed master’s modules in International Intellectual Property Law, International Economic and Investment Law and International Environmental Law. Georgia was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in May 2020.

Georgia’s RFP relevant experience includes:

• debarring of representatives under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act.
• locating parties in litigation via social media platforms, defamation investigations in respect of what has been published on social media
• drafting of opinions for clients in respect of the Insurance Act 18 of 2017 and revised standards, consultations with the Prudential Authority
• drafting of complaints to the Pension Fund Adjudicators
