Practice notes

Jonathan is a partner in the construction & engineering group, heading our London team. He advises on both contentious and non-contentious construction issues. He advises on procurement strategy and the preparation of the full range of construction documentation; acting for employers (in the public and private sector), developers, institutional investors and professionals. Jonathan has broad experience in the Transport and Energy sectors, and also works on a full range of commercial developments, working closely with our Real Estate group.

Jonathan's recent experience includes:

Leading all construction advice on The Chiltern Railways Evergreen 3 Project relating to the £250m scheme to upgrade the railway between Birmingham and London Marylebone and the construction of a new link between Bicester and Oxford.

Advising Centrica Energy in relation to the procurement of its Lincs and Race Bank offshore wind farms.

Advising a sovereign wealth fund on the development of its London property portfolio including the development of office and retail properties and high end residential apartments.

Jonathan provides advice throughout the development period with a view to resolving potential disputes at an early stage. He also advises clients on, and has conducted, a wide range of methods of dispute resolution including negotiation, mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation in the Technology and Construction Court.
