Practice notes
Fabrice Witzke is a Principal Associate in the Antitrust Law practice group in our Munich office.
Fabrice advises domestic and international clients in all fields of European and German antitrust law, in particular with regard to M&A projects and litigation. Fabrice represents companies before the European Commission, the German Federal Cartel Office as well as before European and German courts.
Fabrice furthermore advises in the following areas: abuse and antitrust procedures, compliance/internal investigations, compensation for cartel infringements and all queries of the day-to-day business.
Fabrice is a member of the German Antitrust Lawyers’ Association (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht) and of the German Lawyers' Association (Deutscher Anwaltsverein).
Fabrice studied law in Cologne and Bonn as well as political sciences in Cologne and Bonn and at Sciences Po in Paris, France. He worked for law firms in the UK and Germany and for the EU Commission (Directorate-General for Competition).
Fabrice's recent experience includes advising:
- an international group in the construction industry with regard to a group restructuring and a complex internal investigation matter
- a leading private equity company in acquiring a large automotive supplier group (value of transaction approx. EUR 900 million)
- with regard to the compensation for cartel infringements in the food industry (with a scope of more than EUR 500 million) and in the transport industry (with a scope of more than EUR 650 million) among other industries
- with regard to an alternative dispute resolution in antitrust matters (total volume of more than EUR 1 billion)
- one of the largest German industry associations with regard to antitrust matters in distribution
